West Village Loft

West Village Loft 坐落于纽约曼哈顿西区，由克莱夫·朗斯坦（Clive Lonstein）负责整体翻新与室内设计工作。依托老式LOFT户型得天独厚的挑高空间与全景落地窗，设计师为这套公寓营造出闲适松弛的加州生活氛围，同时保留了纽约都市住宅精致、高级的空间质感。项目通过重新规划室内平面布局，改善老旧户型刻板的空间分区，梳理全屋动线，让室内通行更为流畅通透，完美适配现代家庭日常居住、社交会客等多元生活场景。

West Village Loft is located in Manhattan's West Village and was comprehensively renovated and designed by Clive Lonstein. Leveraging the original loft’s high ceilings and panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, the designer created a relaxed, laid-back California-style ambiance while preserving the refined, sophisticated spatial character typical of New York urban living. By reconfiguring the interior layout, the project overcame the rigid spatial divisions common in older lofts, streamlining circulation paths to ensure fluid and open movement throughout. The result is a space perfectly suited to the diverse needs of modern family life—ranging from daily living to social gatherings and entertaining.

整个空间以低饱和素色作为主调，温润的米白墙面奠定干净柔和的空间基调，最大限度接纳户外自然光，为空间材质的层次呈现提供了良好基底。深调实木地板稳住整体空间质感，搭配石膏肌理墙面、天然实木与精致金属结构，多种材质以细腻肌理相互碰撞融合，让极简的空间设计拥有丰富的视觉与触觉层次。室内视野直面哈德逊河全景，设计手法始终保持克制，将城市河景当作天然装饰，实现室内居住环境与户外景观自然相融。

The entire space is dominated by low-saturation neutral tones, with warm off-white walls establishing a clean and soft ambiance that maximizes the intake of natural outdoor light, providing an ideal foundation for showcasing the layered textures of materials. Deep-toned solid wood flooring grounds the overall spatial quality, complemented by plaster-textured walls, natural wood, and refined metal elements. These diverse materials interact and blend through subtle surface details, enriching the minimalist design with depth in both visual and tactile experience. The interior opens directly onto panoramic views of the Hudson River, where the design maintains restraint, treating the urban river landscape as a natural feature, seamlessly integrating indoor living with the outdoor scenery.

 

本次改造最亮眼的空间重构设计，是将原本的主卧功能区重新规划，打造出一处紧邻公区的玻璃通透恒温酒窖。酒窖搭配实木收纳展架，辅以柔和的氛围灯光陈列藏品，通透的玻璃隔断既完整保留了空间采光，又大幅提升了住宅的社交功能，能够很好适配亲友小聚、日常休闲等生活场景。空间内陈设的铸玻璃定制家具由设计师携手品牌专属打造，细节处点缀的工业风金属构件，与LOFT建筑原生的工业气质完美呼应。

The most striking spatial redesign in this renovation involves reconfiguring the original master bedroom into a glass-enclosed, temperature-controlled wine cellar adjacent to the common living areas. Equipped with solid wood storage and display shelves, and softly illuminated by ambient lighting to showcase curated collections, the transparent glass partitions preserve natural light while significantly enhancing the home's social functionality—ideal for casual gatherings with friends and family or everyday relaxation. The custom cast-glass furniture within the space was specially designed and crafted by the designer in collaboration with the brand, while industrial-style metal accents subtly integrated throughout echo the inherent industrial character of the loft architecture.

住宅私密的休息区域延续全屋统一的设计思路，在简约硬装的基础上搭配柔和软装，兼顾居住舒适度与轻奢的空间格调，营造出静谧舒缓的休憩环境。项目从空间格局、自然光线与材质搭配三个维度出发，巧妙融合LOFT原始的工业建筑属性、松弛的生活化氛围与现代主流审美，在纽约核心城区打造出兼顾实用价值与美学表达的高品质居住空间。

The private relaxation area of the residence continues the unified design concept of the entire house. On the basis of simple hard decoration, it is complemented with soft furnishings, taking into account both the comfort of living and the light and luxurious style of the space, creating a quiet and soothing rest environment. The project starts from three dimensions: spatial layout, natural light, and material combination. It ingeniously integrates the original industrial architectural characteristics of the LOFT, the relaxed and life-like atmosphere, and modern mainstream aesthetics, creating a high-quality living space that combines practical value and aesthetic expression in the core urban area of New York.
