Casa Ocote丨墨西哥山谷静谧栖居 Tranquil dwelling in the Mexican valley


Pérez-Palacios Arquitectos Asociados（PPAA）是一家专注于建筑、艺术、规划、城市设计和室内设计的独立工作室，由Pablo Pérez Palacios于2018年在墨西哥城创立。Pablo，一位拥有哥伦比亚大学高级建筑设计学位的建筑师，以其对艺术的深厚兴趣和与艺术家的合作而闻名。PPAA的作品不仅在国际上出版，还获得了多项建筑奖项的认可。PPAA的设计理念强调与环境的和谐共存，将空间视为开放的可能性，并通过几何方法和对光线的巧妙运用，创造出极具个性的建筑作品。




Casa Ocote 坐落于墨西哥瓦耶德布拉沃，由建筑事务所 PPAA 设计，是一座以极简设计手法回应多家庭共享度假生活方式的住宅。项目的构思围绕“共居”与“私密”之间的双重需求展开。设计团队通过精心组织的空间结构，让两组家庭在保持互动的同时，又能维持各自独立的生活节奏。这种处理方式契合当代度假屋的实际使用情境：公共区域提供自然交流的契机，而私密空间则保证每个家庭的日常作息不受干扰。

Casa Ocote is located in Vayed Bravo, Mexico. It was designed by the architectural firm PPAA and is a residence that responds to the multi-family shared vacation lifestyle with a minimalist design approach. The conception of the project revolves around the dual demands between "cohabitation" and "privacy". The design team, through meticulously organized spatial structures, enabled the two families to maintain interaction while keeping their own independent living rhythms. This approach aligns with the actual usage scenarios of contemporary vacation homes: the public areas offer opportunities for natural communication, while the private Spaces ensure that the daily routines of each family are not disrupted.







入口处的水景在整体体验中扮演重要角色。水面的平静和倒影形成了一种轻微的停顿，使访客在跨入室内前经历一段柔和的过渡。建筑立面的反射不仅强化了住宅与周围自然之间的互文关系，也营造出心理上的转换时刻，将到达与停留之间的界线悄然模糊。这个景观元素在功能上类似于空间“缓冲区”，既划定了场所边界，也为后续的室内体验奠定沉静的基调。

The water feature at the entrance plays an important role in the overall experience. The calmness of the water surface and its reflection create a slight pause, allowing visitors to experience a gentle transition before stepping into the room. The reflection on the building facade not only strengthens the intertextual relationship between the residence and the surrounding nature, but also creates a psychological transition moment, blurring the line between arrival and stay quietly. This landscape element functionally functions like a spatial "buffer zone", not only demarcating the boundaries of the place but also setting a serene tone for the subsequent indoor experience.






首层集合了住宅的主要公共功能，包括客厅、厨房和餐厅，并自然地延伸至一处大尺度的半户外露台。露台充分借助当地温暖的气候与开阔视野，让室内外空间得以连续流动，使居住者能随季节与时间自由转换生活方式。这一媒介性的空间形式延续了墨西哥住宅建筑常见的设计思路，即通过模糊内外界限，让自然环境成为日常生活的延展。


The ground floor integrates the main public functions of the residence, including the living room, kitchen and dining room, and naturally extends to a large-scale semi-outdoor terrace. The terrace fully takes advantage of the local warm climate and wide views, allowing the indoor and outdoor Spaces to flow continuously and enabling residents to freely change their lifestyles according to the seasons and time. This media-oriented spatial form continues the common design concept of Mexican residential buildings, that is, by blurring the boundaries between the inside and outside, the natural environment becomes an extension of daily life.





私密空间被安排在上层，以中央楼梯为轴线呈对等布局，为两组家庭提供均衡且独立的生活领域。每侧都设有卧室与面向庭院及周围景致的私人露台，使居住者能在安静的环境中获得休憩与沉思的空间。上下层的分离明确划定了隐私层级，确保公共活动与私人生活彼此互不干扰。对称的分区方式使两组家庭在房间尺度、景观取景与露台使用上都享有相同条件，从规划层面避免了共享住宅中常见的资源不均问题，也展现出该项目对于多家庭共用度假住宅的规划策略与建筑逻辑。

The private space is arranged on the upper floor, with an equal layout along the central staircase as the axis, providing balanced and independent living areas for the two families. Each side is equipped with a bedroom and a private terrace facing the courtyard and the surrounding scenery, providing residents with a space for rest and contemplation in a quiet environment. The separation of upper and lower levels clearly defines the privacy hierarchy, ensuring that public activities and private life do not interfere with each other. The symmetrical zoning method ensures that the two groups of families enjoy the same conditions in terms of room size, landscape viewing and terrace usage. This avoids the common problem of uneven resource distribution in shared residences from the planning level and also demonstrates the planning strategy and architectural logic of this project for multi-family shared vacation residences.
